The garden is 6 acres - with wide lawnpaths linking each area together with rhododendrons, camellias, thousands of annuals, perennials roses and a huge area dedicated to NZ natives surrounding Ted's pond.

We are 65 kilometers south of Christchurch International Airport.

Rakaia Weddings is a working dairy farm with 1400 cows - milked on a seasonal basis with calf feeding from August to September. Mt Hutt - best skiing & snowboarding - June to October.

Excellent trout fly fishing and salmon fishing in the Rakaia River about 3 minutes away, if you have the time. More.
